15th November 2009 a grand Danvantari Homam was performed with 108 Havan kunds at Kolkata. Maa left for Kolkata on the 13th morning from the ashram along with few devotees.
4th to 6th December 2009 the Kumbabhishekam of two new sannidhis of Dakshina Kali and Siddhi Buddhi Vinayaka were performed.
11th December 2009 we did the formal inauguration of our newly constructed huge building exclusively meant for conducting Annadanam and Medical camps. The building is of about 8000 sq. ft. The ground floor is for conducting Annadanam & Medical Camps and the first floor has several rooms for accommodating devotees and for conducting Satsangs.
20th December 2009 dance recitals were performed by disciples of Professor Sudharani Raghupaghy.
21st December 2009 the Poorvanga Puja and Gada Sthapanam was performed in the morning and Chandi Parayanam with 22 pandits was performed in the evening.
25th December 2009 Maha Rudra Homam was performed in the morning after completing the Rudra Japam on the preceding three days. Annadanam was arranged in the new building where 700 people had gathered.
26th December 2009 Satha Chandi Homam was performed in the morning followed by Annadanam where 1100 people had the pleasure of having food. A booklet written by Brahmachari Krishnapadha entitled How to Lead a Simple and Balanced Life was released by Mr Bill Verdini who had the pleasure of being a part of all these events, that too on his very first visit to India! This was followed by Sri Homi Baba’s birthday celebration in the evening wherein all devotees participated enthusiastically. Maa sang bhajans and a cake was cut and distributed to all devotees.
No special puja or event was organized on 31st December 2009 (New Year Eve) as always done in the past several years because of the lunar eclipse.
1st January 2010 Padi Puja was performed for Sri Ayyappa followed by Annadanam.
3 January 2010 Maa went to Sabarimalai along with few devotees from the ashram and Banglore. Mr & Mrs Madhu hosted them for at Trivandrum where they performed another Ayyappa Puja at his residence before proceeding to Sabarimalai.
14th & 15th January 2010 Pongal(Makara Sankranti) and Mattu Pongal festival was performed. Mattu Pongal is specially done for cows. The goshala was decorated with flowers and rangoli. Pongal was prepared and offered to the cows.
19th January 2010 the Mandala puja was performed with six pandits for Dakshina Kali and Siddhi Buddhi Vinayaka.
21st to 24th January 2010 Maa visited Coimbatore to perform Bhoomi Puja on a devotee’s plot. Maa also went to Naga Sai and Vengu Sai temples.
30th January 2010 Maa released a book written by Sri Pithukuli Murugadas, a renowned bhajan singer at a function organized by Sivananda Foundation to commemorate his birthday.
Maa will be leaving for Lucknow on 16th February 2010 for performing Danvanatri Homam with 108 havankunds. Apart from a couple of devotees, few others will join her from Delhi to participate in this grand event.
Trust Anniversary celebration is on 26th February and Guru Maa’s birthday celebration on 31st March. The details of these events will be posted on our website soon.
The Purnima puja, Akanda Sai Nama Japam were also conducted in the usual manner and also the medical camps held as per schedule.
Maa and Bramachari Krishnapadha will be traveling in US and Canada from mid april to mid june . The itinary will be made shortly
