SRI SAI DARSHAN TRUST

About SHIRDI SAI BABA

Shirdi Sai Baba who attained Mahasamadhi on October 15, 1918) is worshipped today throughout the world as an Avatar (incarnation of God) or as Sadguru. He preached the unity of religion and performed many miracles. He would chant Vedas in a mosque and recite Quran in a temple. He made a decrepit mosque his preferred dwelling place and called it Dwaraka Mai. In Skanda Purana, Dwaraka is defined as a place open to people of all castes. In the Darbar of Shirdi Baba there is no discrimination based on relegion, gender, caste or creed. Even today, all over world, people pray to him when there are afflicted by sufferings. Sai Baba lived in small village called Shirdi, which is today a very important pilgrimage place.

About SRI SAI DARSHAN TRUST

Sri Sai Darshan Trust is a non-profit charitable organization founded by Gurumai Shanthamma. The main objective of the trust is to spread Sri Shirdi Sai Baba's message of love towards all beings and service to humanity, thereby fostering spiritual growth and love for God. Multifarious service activities are being undertaken by the trust, like organizing health camps, providing clothing to poor children, extending Pranic Healing Treatment, giving donations for Eye Operations, guiding in Chakra Meditation and so on. The ashram houses a Prayer Hall dedicated to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba.

About the ASHRAM

The Ashram complex comprises the Prayer Hall (described in detail under the caption 'Deities') complex and the residential complex. The latter complex comprises dormitories, a dining room, kitchen, bathrooms, storerooms, office room, rooms with attached bath etc. This complex can accommodate more than 50 persons. A beginning has been made with about 10 ashramites, on completion of the buildings. The ambience and quietude nestled in inviting greenery in the ashram, act as spiritual catalysts to all. Before the Ashram complex came up, the spot was a desolate one with no shelter to protect from the scorching sun, no water to wet the parched throats and no communication facilities to access the area. There was a doubt whether there could be any activities in this place, away from all habitation and what appeared to be a 'Godforsaken place'. Little did one realise that this would become the 'God's chosen place'. Even the road from Red Hills has vastly improved. This dramatic transformation has taken place because of the Grace  of  Baba.
